This article will let you know how to export your OneNote Notebook and Classroom Notebooks so that you are able to transfer them to another user. The current transferring method for OneNote Notebook and OneNote Classroom Notebooks will only export in the Windows operating system using the OneNote 2016 application. The person who the Notebook is transferred to can use Mac or PC to receive the file.
OneNote is a digital notebook that automatically saves and syncs your notes as you work. Type information in your notebook or insert it from other apps and web pages. Take handwritten notes or draw your ideas. Use highlighting and tags for easy follow-up.
Note: You must use the OneNote 2016 application. The OneNote tablet application does not have the same features.
- Get into a new Way of Learning Microsoft OneNote 2019 (or OneNote for Windows 10). Getting started, basics.
- I want to export my notebook from one account so I can import it to another account. Windows support says to log in to www.onenote.com, find my notebook, right click it, press export notebook. This only leads to a blank window popping up. Tried Chrome and Edge browsers, same result. Tried copying the link and pasting it in a new tab, same result.
- At the bottom of the pane that appears, click + Notebook. Enter a name for the new notebook, and then click Create Notebook. OneNote switches to the new notebook, which contains a new section and a new, blank page. Create a new notebook in a different account.
- This new optional mode switches OneNote’s interface elements from light to dark — either as a color preference or as a functional benefit. Dark Mode can improve readability of your notes in low light environments, increase the legibility of the user interface, provide better contrast, and reduce eye strain.
